Project Wellness - A Student-Led Mental Health Initiative

Join Us to Improve the General Mental Wellness of the Student Body at UNLV

As a non-profit organization, Project Wellness is a student-led mental health initiative aimed to improve general mental wellness of the student body and allow our students to be the voice for how we as a university can promote student wellness and mental health services. Our mission is to create a safe and inclusive environment on campus where students can thrive both academically and personally.

About

About Project Wellness

Project Wellness started in 2022 with one idea: hosting a Mental Health Town Hall that would allow students to voice their concerns and ideas for UNLV’s future regarding mental health. It was a monumental success, and seeing how many students needed mental health help and resources, we decided to create Project Wellness.

Our Four Committees

Mental Health & Self Discovery Committee

Our Mental Health Committee will conduct regular mental health workshops at the UNLV Wellness Zone throughout the semester, addressing critical topics such as depression, trauma, anxiety, and stress management.

Fitness Committee

Our Fitness Committee will offer engaging workout sessions at the SRWC, encompassing activities like yoga, cardio, strength training, and more. Because of the strong correlation between physical health and mental health, the fitness committee is here to make you feel good about yourself physically and mentally.

International & Transfer Student Committee

Our International and Transfer Student Committee is committed to assisting students who come from other countries or states. We provide invaluable resources and guidance to help them navigate campus life, make connections, and ensure a smooth transition to UNLV.

Volunteer & Resource Commitee

Connects students with helpful resources such as food pantry services, scholarships, financial assistance, and other campus support. The committee also organizes volunteer opportunities that allow members to give back and become more involved in the UNLV and Las Vegas community.

Educational Outreach Committee

Building
connections across all levels. The committee partners with K–12 schools for mentorship, wellness education, and outreach activities while also connecting college students with graduate and professional schools, programs, and educational opportunities.
